1. Current payment status
Paystack and other live payment processing are not connected. Checkout controls are disabled, no public subscription purchase can currently be completed, and the production Spotlight campaign workflow does not accept payment. VU Lab does not currently collect card or bank details.
2. General refund rule
Payments made to VU Lab are generally non-refundable. A refund will be provided where VU Lab confirms that a billing error occurred, such as a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount charged or another genuine payment-processing error, or where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.
Changing your mind, deciding not to use the service, no longer needing it, failing to use purchased access or available creator tools, or voluntarily discontinuing use of VU Lab does not by itself create a refund entitlement.
3. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation of future recurring billing and refund of a payment already correctly charged are different. If recurring billing is introduced, cancellation will stop future billing according to the subscription rules implemented at that time; it will not automatically refund a correctly charged prior subscription period.
VU Lab has not yet implemented recurring billing, so this policy does not invent cancellation timing, renewal dates, billing-cycle behavior, proration, grace periods, subscription termination mechanics or refund processing times.
4. Pre-launch actions and unexpected charges
Because VU Lab does not currently take real payments through the service, there are currently no VU Lab subscription or Creator Promotion charges to refund through the live checkout. A displayed price, staged promotion request, development payment simulation, entitlement database field or owner test control is not a real purchase or charge.
If a service presented as VU Lab appears on a statement before live billing is officially announced, do not submit credentials through an unverified link. Use the approved public contact channel once it is published and contact your financial institution where appropriate. VU Lab cannot promise a provider-specific investigation, processing time or refund workflow before a payment provider exists.
5. Required implementation update before paid launch
Before Paystack or another provider is enabled, VU Lab must document the actual merchant identity and billing contact, products and currencies sold, whether charges are one-time or recurring, renewal and cancellation behavior, how confirmed billing errors are reported and resolved, and any non-waivable consumer rights that apply.
This policy does not create a cancellation deadline, renewal rule, proration promise, provider refund time or chargeback procedure before those mechanics exist.
